from rossini to verdi and of course, mozart!  mom and i laid ourselves on our panic mat, and chilled to opera classics at the botanicals gardens. an easy and enjoyable musical experience to start the weekend!

my dearest bff Alfred Thia Wei Zheng, i cannot visualize how or what you're going to look like when you actually go bald.  we've talked about this for the longest time, and have been dreading the thought of it ever since. 

the trainings (physical torture) will accelerate tougher each day under a mean humid weather (mocha tanned skin?) with... no junk food to remedy your tummy. no more late nights but early mornings, to do our own laundry and make your own bed!  alright, i'll shall not rub it in. heh. i guess it's rightfully time to unite with your new green best friend and train that inner soldier. mister, they'll make a man out of you. now just a couple of weeks till i see that macho transformation!  so be safe, and yes dont drop the soap!  finally, tomorrow you're heading in to serve the country. it feels unrealistic, but it will be my turn in a just matter of months. so hang in there, promise i'll join you in abit! 

please know that you would be terribly missed by many, especially me! ME! goodness, what am i supposed to do without you for that long?

a year older, an hour drunk earlier. the girl who pronounced Balenciaga as "Bah-AL" threw her twentieth birthday party at helipad with custard cupcakes, a hello-kitty cake and a strawberry cheese pounder!  a good party isn't complete till the nutrition kicks in. food before the booze, remember that.

i havent had real food in a long time. not until last weekend when i fufilled every need of my home-cooked meal tempts.  great food (cass, you are the kitchen bomb), lovable company, revival of video games? and just the best chill-ass couches!
 

 

pink for freedom!
16th may, 4.30pm, hong lim park. alfie, vaish and myself headed down to the green grounds, only to find it topped with layers and layers of pink!  everyone present was clad in their pink gear, accompanied with brollies, ballons and yes, bandung. the message was clear, understood and very articulately expressed. a coming together of diverse people who believed in the same thing - the freedom to love whoever, whenever.

the great turn out event was diffinitely a first for me, and it absolutely warms my heart to see and know that there's a communitiy that drives for the diminishing of ignorance. now, where were you?

i don't have an overdue issue but from time to time (like now), helplessly i give in. so, am i excited to say that school's officially out!  absolutely. and while the parties are just starting to slide in, i must say that timing, booze, relaxation and styled hair has never been so perfectly in place. it was a good assessment period/month, one not for the uninitiated for it was literally like hell breaking loose. thankfully, everything flowed through smoothly and now rewards seem to be boring in.  well, my show is in weeks time! (do come) and then it's till graduation and... national service thereafter which, i'm terribly not looking forward to . i'm still laying out the possibilities of working soon, but i guess we'll see how it goes.

a spontaneous gathering at one fullerton, butter factory 2 weekends ago.  great company, a bad event and way too much boozing for somes. 

 

the worst is finally over. my days ahead look opulent and blithesome.

assessment is due in a few weeks, and truth be told i havent got anything up my thin sleeves. the feeling is awful, as though i couldnt care less.  it will finally end up with an awesome amount of workload (includes printing money) and a sleepless zombie week.  my body will start to break down and my eyes will start to decolourize from the constant glare at the computer screen.  as a student, i'm constantly in hunger of inspiration and a chunkload of motivation/focus to go along.  now i do hope, pray, manifest, and PRAY again, that i will do so well it hurts for finals and don't just slack it off completely.

the other day, i stepped up my kitchen game and made a bowl of grape salad for two. lettuce, feta, croutons, lemon zest, oil & vinegar and of course, the cutest button grapes.

we celebrated the perfect years of dearest mom being... mom! headed down to P.S Cafe at palais after dinner for a round of desserts.  accompanied with it's cozy loft-ish ambience and jazzy blue tunes in the background, the evening ended off perfectly. happy YOU day again, mom!

wild couch horses
last weekend at helipad's special-k had me clenching on to total party rad-madness. we downed bubbly, sang in foreign and boogied on the club's couches. while thumping our goodytwoshoes to lashings of electro beats, some fell from mid-air height and for some, shoes came off. it was just one helluva night.  the pictures pretty much sum everything else up!
